If anyone says that people do not change…. Let me tell you… that is not true! I am Natalie Coleman and I introduce myself from a place of gratitude, confidence, and self-love. But it took me 44 years to come to the realization that I have a voice which is worthy of being heard and only by the Grace of God, am I able to tell my story without fear and self-judgment. From a young age, I struggled to understand just who I was and spent most of my life wearing a variety of masks that fooled me into believing that I was someone that I was not. But these masks were a survival mechanism that protected me from revealing the pain of traumatic childhood experiences that no young girl should have to experience. My tapestry of self-escapism grew into anorexia, alcoholism, and drug addiction: self-destructive behavior that would nearly take my life and taint those around me for over three decades. My story is one of turning survival into freedom: where God has turned self-centered fear, hopelessness, and spiritual emptiness into courage, hope, and a life filled with His Grace and Blessings beyond my wildest dreams…. Serenity and Peace within. Overcoming chronic addiction and poor mental health is one of the most difficult challenges that anyone can endure. But recovery is possible! God showed me that if I became willing, open-minded, and embraced truth and honesty, CHANGE is inevitable and now I know that with Him, anything is possible
