I never ever thought I would share my story for fear of rejection, shame, and judgement from others. I blamed myself for years for what I went through and self medicated myself for decades BUT GOD!!! Today I am standing in my truth and advocating for those who are silenced. So many of us don’t want to discuss HT but it is all around us and awareness saves lives! I never dreamed I would share my story. I honestly thought it was something I would take to my grave...BUT GOD! God showed me that my story wasn’t all about me but about the ones who needed to hear it. It was for those feeling isolated and alone. My story was for those to see that you don’t have to live in fear but can live a life of faith instead. My story wasn’t something to be ashamed of or feel guilty about but a story of survival that would inspire others! Escaping Human Trafficking is my story and I will no longer be silent about it! Let me first say I normally wouldn’t accept these challenges with fear of not doing it right or as good as others. It’s amazing what happens when you stare fear in the face and give it a wink. When fear no longer controls you and you step into the woman of God and all the fierceness that comes with that! You quiet all the noise that says you can’t and you step into your God given destiny. You believe in yourself even if you are the only one. You no longer allow anyone to quiet you because you have found your voice and it is loud and proud! Ladies you CAN be everything you dream to be. Look fear dead in the eyes and say you no longer scare me! I stand here a warrior instead of a worrier!
